cropcircleconnector website). It was amazing – rather like a 7-pointed star, but composed of quite unusual circles outlined with a thin row of standing crop. The larger expanses of laid crop were so intricately woven, that from the air it looked like incredible latticework. We have never seen anything like that in the fields before.
The Crop Circles are very special places, even Sacred. These Temples in the fields are recognized as present-day sacred sites by many. There is a spiritual quality to the mandalas and glyphs that appear and most people treat them with great respect. Even entering a Crop Circle, walking down the wheel marks from the farmer’s tractor feels rather like a ceremonial pathway. Once inside the sacred space of the formation, people have had some wonderful experiences, many of them life changing. The Crop Circles act rather like spiritual awakening tools, or tools to help us access a higher state of consciousness. They seem to act like portals or spiritual gateways just like the ancient stone circles. They are heart opening and seem speak to us on a subconscious level. Many times the design of a formation will seem very familiar. And sometimes, like other power places, they can accentuate our emotions and bring to the forefront the things we need to work on. They help us connect to Spirit.
These Temples are never too far away from the ancient stone circles, dolmen, tumuli, and chambered tombs which dot the landscape of southern England. This is a beautiful area, with gently rolling hills and quiet lanes separating the golden fields of grain and green pastures, where sheep or cows contentedly graze. What a wonderful way to connect with nature! What a lovely place to sit and meditate!
The Crop Circles make us appreciate so many things, especially their beauty, and their harmonious interaction with the surrounding countryside, and the creatures that live in it. The high consciousness behind these glyphs reminds us that we are all connected, that we are all one and that what affects one, ultimately affects us all.
As the CircleMakers expand their expertise with more intricate and involved designs, they seem to stretch our parameters, not confining us to solutions and meanings. They encompass every aspect of universal symbology, to appeal to as many of us as possible - from Celtic to Aboriginal, from Native American to Egyptian, from Hebrew to Tibetan; from astronomy to astrology, from ancient to modern, simple to involved, attractive to bizarre.
As we become more aware, we realize the intelligence behind these images is highly evolved, because so many of the formations incorporate Sacred Geometry into their precise patterning. And the consciousness behind them seems to be linked with our own. There have been innumerable instances where formations have appeared as a result of a meditation or a deep wish. So, are we actually co-creating with the CircleMakers on a higher mind level?
Who are these CircleMakers? The question still goes unanswered after nearly twenty years of research. Many feel that the Crop Circles are messages from extraterrestrials. If so, what is their message? Are they just simple calling cards to say, “Hello!” or are they symbols for something deep and esoteric? Could the crop glyphs even be made by some non-physical beings, or beings from another dimension? There is belief that the Earth herself, or Gaia, is partly responsible. The CircleMakers certainly favor areas on, or close to ley lines, where there is a known but unseen energy. The ancients instinctively knew this – all the stone circles and other significant Earth mysteries are built on ley lines. The area where the crop circles are most abundant is right in the middle of one of the most condensed areas in the world of ancient sacred sites. Some also feel that Earth spirits or devas may have some participation. Whoever these “beings” are, they seem to be very benevolent. They are trying to attract our attention without violating our free will – the choice is ours to see or not. They have a deep respect for life because they do not kill the crops that they use for their canvasses and the farmer can still harvest his crop. Whoever they are, we welcome them each summer. People from all over the world, and from all walks of life, travel to England to experience the wonder of the Crop Circles. There seems to be a message of hope in them during these times of quickening and change. It seems that somebody, somewhere is trying to attract our attention by these cosmic calling cards. Are we listening to their message? — Denni Clarke
